Larynx
The larynx is composed of nine cartilage structures

Three large Single Cartilages
•  Epiglottis
•  Thyroid
•  Cricoid
Three Paired Cartilages
•  Arytenoids
•  Cuneiforms
•  Corniculates

The cricoid cartilage is the only circumferential cartilage of the trachea.
This is an important landmark used during tracheostomy.
